Christmas 2023
We were thankful God provided extra funding that could be utilized for making the Christmas holiday extra special for the orphans. First, each child received a specially-tailored Christmas outfit.
Additionally, the kids were able to take a bus ride to Kisumu, which is about a 3-hour drive north from the orphanage, to visit the Kisumu Impala Sanctuary. We actually had the opportunity to visit this very place ourselves on our last afternoon in Kenya during our trip, so it was fun to see the orphans also experience it.

It was really neat to see the zebras and monkeys just roaming freely around the park grounds, and the setting right on the shore of Lake Victoria was very picturesque. It was a great way to spend a few hours before our time in Kenya came to an end.
